10 rubles: bi-metal (ring: brass, disc: copper-nickel), thickness 2.1 mm, diameter 27 mm, weight 8.4 gr. Edge: 300 corrugations and two inscriptions “ÄÅÑßÒÜ ÐÓÁËÅÉ” (TEN RUBLES) divided by two asterisks.
2 rubles: copper-nickel alloy, thickness 1.8 mm, diameter 23 mm, weight 5.1 gr, intermittently reeded edge 84 corrugations divided in 12 equal sections alternated with 12 plain sections.
1 ruble: copper-nickel alloy, thickness 1.5 mm, diameter 20.5 mm, weight 3.25 gr, reeded edge 110 corrugations.
* 10 rubles coins with Gagarin came across very often in 2001-2002. It was hard to imagine that now they will cost much more then their nominal value.
That's why If you see a plenty of one coin now, be sure that after 15 years it will cost 1000 rubles.( or 100 of its nominal value). A 10 rubles coin with Gagarin is a living illustration of it.
